How to add an ahoge to a doll wig

Well hello ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, trolls of all ages, welcome to another Aoibara tutorial!

Today, we will learn how to add an ahoge, or a cowlick to your doll's wig. This is my first non digital related (I did mainly on digital drawing and photo editing, but never did anything material.) tutorial!

Please proceed if you are interested!

This method was originally found in a tutorial pamphlet from Tenshi no Sato in Kyoto. I grabbed one home because I knew Charles would need that. So pretty much I wrote it just to translate what it says.

I used this method many times, and works nicely. The only cons are that it is quite easy to lose the stiffness to hold the cowlick up. Oh well, it only takes away 5 minutes of your life, so yeah.

Well, lets look at one of Charles artwork done by me:

He has a VERY noticeable cowlick, which the BJD Charles is missing, so we will add this today!

Here is what you will need...

~First, your doll with the wig on it, of course. DSC07466_small.jpg

~A hair pin like this one -> DSC07470_small.jpg

~A hair mist (Its like a styling gel which hardens the hair) of any choice. I will be using the Volks Dollfie Hair Mist. You can get them from the Volks International web store or the Volks USA store if you live in Canada, USA or Mexico. DSC07475_small.jpg

Anyways, about the hair mist, I would suggest not use any human hair gel in case it damages the wig, you know.

So, this is all we need, and we can proceed to do some styling!

So, first, hold up the part of the wig where you want it to be an ahoge, like the picture below:

Now, get that hairpin, and hold the ahoge there like this:

Now get your wig mist, and spray it on to the root of the ahoge. you can get some of the mist onto your fingers, and apply it onto the ahoge itself to keep the ahoge in shape if you wish. Please becareful not to get the wig mist onto your doll's face or else it will leave some shiny spots which you probably don't want <_<;

Now, leave your doll and the wig alone for about 5 minutes. If itsn't hard after five minutes, wait for an extra few minutes.

After it hardens, you can remove the hairpin, and hooray! We got an ahoge on the wig!

If it falls off, you can just do this method again and it is all OK.

By the way, please clap if you liked this tutorial! And bye bye!
